What is a DAO?
A Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) is a community-led entity with no central authority. Decisions are made collectively through token-based voting, and all actions are executed via smart contracts on the blockchain.
How do I get voting power?
Acquire $EBAY tokens through trading on the platform or purchasing on Uniswap. Each token represents one vote. You must hold tokens in your wallet to participate in governance.
What can the DAO vote on?
The DAO controls: platform fees, treasury allocation, feature development, partnership approvals, token economics, and protocol upgrades. Major changes require 60% approval with minimum 10% quorum.
How do I submit a proposal?
Post your idea on the governance forum for community feedback. After discussion, create a formal EIP (EthBay Improvement Proposal) following our template. Proposals require 1,000 $EBAY to submit.
Is voting free?
Yes! We use Snapshot for gasless, off-chain voting. You sign a message with your wallet (no transaction fee). On-chain execution happens only after a proposal passes.
